Hello people,
Let me introduse myself.
Ive been a professional viking in Norway for the last 2 summers.
Been doing axe/knife-throwing.(thats fun!!)
And the occasional bow and arrow shooting.
Since januari I moved to PA. (love drove me oversea)
Got married into a family of gun collectors. And every family BBQ, the pieces come out to admire.
In Europe its not normal to have a gun. We think the americans are crazy. And I didnt want to believe my sweet hubby was like that.
And here I come, he has 2 pistols and a gun. The rest of the family has more then 25 a person... ehhh..
We had a big arguement about having guns in the house and I made him buy locks.
Now, 3 months later.. I bought a slingshot, have been shooting guns at family BBQ`s and made an appointment for next month to go shoot all kind of guns in a corry.
Going downhill from here....but lets call it integrading...

Re: America rubbing off?
Thu, July 14, 2005 - 1:05 PMIn much the same way, I also ended up moving in with a gun collector. He even worked at a gunsmithing shop for awhile. Sometimes I am caught in the middle of arguments between people that think even the word gun is evil, and people that shoot every day and couldn't imagine life without a firearm in reach.
I've always wanted to try throwing axes, but never had the opportunity. I did take a knife throwing workshop.
Also wanted to learn to use a sling, but there again, not practical while living in a metropolis. -

Tue, July 19, 2005 - 4:14 PMI despise guns... It is a cowards weapon... You don't have to look your enemy/prey in the eye... Even for hunting four-legged creatures... War has always existed, but justice has no sway now... Whoever has the most destructive firing power is who wins. There's no humanity... My ex wanted a gun and I was vehemently opposed and he never got one... I am thankful. -

Sun, August 7, 2005 - 11:34 PMA gun is a tool. If you have a killer mindset you can just as easily kill with other tools, like piano wire, silk stockings, cars and garden hoes.
Swimming pools kill more children in the USA each year than guns (by far), but you never hear anyone saying they despise swimming pools.
We have a brain and a heart and a conscience, and that is what dictates how we will use a tool.

Re: America rubbing off?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 4:59 AMHello All:
My name is Anniitra Ravenmoon, and I have two pistols and a shotgun that I just had serviced. I respect my firearms. I have over twenty different blades because I collect knives. Being a Machinist, I can make tools and weapons.
I agree Fayme, that anything be made into a weapon, it is the mindset of the person. I have not had a chance to go on a range yet. Some of my blades I use in rituals, some are just for display, and some I dance with. I treat them all with respect.
